Call to Take Part in Research: Protest Injunctions
Not1More is carrying out a research into the rising use of ‘Persons Unknown’ injunctions across campaigns from environmental, anti-arms and animal rights with a particular focus on the last 5 years. Our aim is to gather a strong evidence base demonstrating the injustices of Protest Injunctions which campaigners can use as a tool to fight against their continued use.

Who we want to speak to:

    • Activists who have been affected by injunctions

    • People who have inadvertently been affected by injunctions e.g by living in the local area

    • Lawyers with experience of injunctions

      How you can contribute:
We are speaking directly to activists and campaign groups affected by injunctions to gather this research.

    • Interviews will take part online or in person (depending on location).

    • Filling out this google form.

    • Submitting relevant court documents e.g costs orders

*We recognise that some information may be sensitive. We are very happy to take a tailored approach to make sharing your experiences safe and comfortable for you. Any information shared with us can be anonymised upon request. Please reach out directly if you have any specific concerns, or would prefer to share information through an alternative platform.

How will this research be used?

    • A published report.
    • Submitted as evidence in legal cases. *Friends of the Earth have made an application to the European Court of Human Rights to bring a legal case challenging the use of Protest Injunctions in the UK. If the case is accepted by the ECHR, Not1More will make an application to intervene.
