Our research investigates the underlying drivers behind the threats facing environmental and land defenders; seeks to understand the commonalities and differences of defenders' experiences across countries, regions and lived realities; and looks for ways to ensure the physical, emotional and holistic security of those who fight to protect the earth. We work in collaboration with universities, NGOs, UN Agencies, environmental defenders, and a growing team of students and volunteers.
